Chicago Italian Greyhound Adoption Application (and Other Pooches Too)
Please fill out the Chicago Italian Greyhound Adoption Application below from ROMP rescue if you are interested in any of our pooches or if you would like to be notified when we rescue another Italian Greyhound! Join our PlayDate group and our FaceBook group too! If you have a question, check our adoption FAQ section.
Because of where our rescues start their lives, we want to make sure for the rest of their life they are happy, healthy, loved and well cared for by a family that complements their needs and understands what it takes to adopt a rescue with their background. We take the adoption applications very seriously when determining if you are a good fit for our rescues so please answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible. Applications with incomplete or blank responses may result in a deleted application or rejection without notice, or delay in response, please fill out all answers in great depth when submitting an adoption application.

We lost our IG in February to cancer in February after Nine wonderful years.
Hello, My name is Suzanne Wirsching and my good friend Laura Vandersnick has applied for a puppy but hasn’t heard back. They are a great family and would be a great family. Laura has tried to contact you but to can’t get a reply. I am writing so maybe you can look up her application. I am sure you are very busy but they really want to talk to you about your puppies. Please contact them today please.
Yes, we did receive her application on August 13. We are run by volunteers and our adoption coordinator is mulling over the adoption applications during between her work and family obligations. Thank you and her for your patience!
You are so kind to respond. I know that you are busy with all the dogs you have to find homes. Laura lost her old friend of 14 yrs. Oberon in March {her Rotwaller} but they are the best people to have a dog. I am a lover of dogs too but have 2 at the time. Thank you again for getting back to me. You are wonderful people with a wonderful cause to save our dog friends.
Have experience with iggys and just lost my owns dog of 18yrs. would like the company and love of another dog
if you are retired you do not have a work phone
and we live in a rural area not a lot of close friends yet none that have come to our home
Our adoption process consists of completing the adoption application, reference checks that conducted by our volunteers and a home visit that is conducted by our adoption coordinator. For that reason, a list of references and a mandatory home visit are required. If you are retired, leave the work phone blank and write retired.
I hope that helps, thank you!
I am interested in adopting Rhianna, the maltese.
Thank you for your inquiry about Rhianna, we are still accepting adoption applications for her. Our adoption process consists of completing a questionnaire, reference checks, home visit, adoption contract and adoption fee. Our rescues are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations upon adoption. If you would like to be considered for Rhianna, please complete the adoption questionnaire (https://romprescue.com/adoption-application/) answering each question with as much detail as possible and all questions in their entirety so that we can determine if they or someone else might be a good match for you.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, thank you!
We are looking forward to adding to our pet friendly home
